Expertise
Stephen J. Maas
Stephen J. Maas is a native American English speaker with over ten years of experience with the German language. His language skills were developed through studies in secondary and higher education, as well as through the practical experience of residing in northwestern Germany for an extended period. He has traveled extensively through Germany, Austria and Switzerland on numerous different occasions and has since continued his education through conferences and practical training.
Stephen previously held a full-time position as an in-house translator for the US subsidiary of a major German printing technology company. He was employed there for several years, during which time he was able to work hands-on with his subject matter. His translation responsibilities were primarily in mechanical and electrical engineering, but also covered sales, marketing and general correspondence. This experience allowed him to gain extensive specialization in the areas in which On-Time Translations now concentrates (see Services for more information).
Felix B. Grevenbrock
For more than 10 years, native German Felix B. Grevenbrock has continually built upon his qualifications in English as a foreign language. Beginning with secondary school and continuing with his higher education studies in international business and economic sciences, including a six-month internship in New Jersey, Felix deepened and broadened his language horizons. In his previous position as Project Manager at an globally operating food and beverage company, Felix was responsible for international projects in logistics and supply chain management, particularly in the area of implementation and optimization of distribution and route planning processes. In connection with this, he was also responsible for the creation and translation of company-wide documentation and guidelines for European distribution. In addition to his primary tasks as Project Manager, Felix gathered extensive experience in international business correspondence, sales and IT (software implementation and localization).
Today, Felix lives in the USA and concentrates on translation in the English - German language pair, completing the service offerings of On-Time Translations.
